Curated Experiences

Small-group hiking weekends hosted by Elsewhere.

Our curated experiences offer an opportunity to step away from the pace and pressure of everyday life and into a setting defined by simplicity, movement and thoughtful design. The experience is shaped with intention but never overworked - time outdoors and spaces that feel calm and beautifully put together.

Curated weekends are women-only experiences, bringing together small groups who value time outdoors, good food and beautiful surroundings.

It is not about excess. It is about doing one thing well: creating the conditions for presence, connection and perspective.

What to Expect

Routes vary by location but typically cover between 15–25km per day across moderate terrain. Weekends are carefully paced, with time to walk, rest and enjoy the house at the end of each day. Groups are intentionally small, creating an atmosphere that feels relaxed, social and easy to settle into.

  • All meals and snacks prepared by a private chef

  • A small, carefully sized group (8-12 guests)

FAQs

  • You don’t need to be an experienced hiker or particularly athletic.

If you’re comfortable walking for several hours at a steady pace and spend time on your feet day to day, you’ll be absolutely fine.

Our routes are designed to feel purposeful yet achievable, with natural pauses built in. We move as a group, never leaving anyone behind.

More than anything, it helps to arrive with an open mind — ready to step outside, embrace the elements, and trust the rhythm of the day.

But as a guideline, a moderate base level of fitness is advised.

  • Group sizes are intentionally small — usually between 6 and 14 women.  This keeps the atmosphere relaxed and the experience personal.

  • Each weekend is fully hosted by Elsewhere.

Accommodation in a carefully selected, design-led house, guided routes and all meals from arrival to departure are included.

Breakfasts and relaxed evening dinners are shared together in the house. Prepared lunches are provided for the day’s walk. Wine is served with dinner, and an honesty bar is available for additional drinks.

Full details are outlined on each individual experience page.

  • Travel to and from the location, personal kit and travel insurance (where required) are not included unless specified. Onward travel from public transport hubs can be arranged on request and at an additional cost.

  • The house is central to the experience.

We choose exceptional, design-led properties with architectural presence and thoughtful interiors, spaces that feel elevated yet entirely comfortable. Large kitchens designed for gathering. Generous communal areas with oversized sofas and long tables. Bedrooms that feel calm and considered.

Many houses include features such as outdoor pools, hot tubs, saunas, cinema rooms, or offer direct access to wild swimming. Some sit high above valleys with expansive views; others are tucked quietly into woodland or coastline.

These are not functional bases, they are destinations in their own right.

  • We appreciate that life doesn’t always unfold as expected.

Deposits are non-refundable. If you cancel within four weeks of the start date, 50% of the remaining balance is payable. Within two weeks, the balance is charged in full.

Please refer to our Cancellation Policy for full details.

  • We walk in most conditions, often that becomes part of the experience.  Safety is always the priority. Routes may be adapted if necessary, and alternative plans are always in place. There is never any obligation to set out if you feel uncomfortable.

  • If you’re planning a gathering of four or more, our bespoke experiences may be a better fit.

We’re always happy to design something tailored to your group and the way you’d like the weekend to feel.

  • Each experience page includes clear guidance on travelling by both public and private transport.

Where appropriate, private transfers from the nearest station can be arranged at additional cost.

  • For UK weekends, insurance is not mandatory, though some guests choose to have it.  For overseas experiences, appropriate travel insurance covering hiking and cancellation is required.  Elsewhere holds full public liability and professional indemnity insurance.
